Ming

The horse to the left is Ming, a trotter I watched grow up. He belonged to my neighbour, but now I hear he´s exported to Malta...! I hope he´s fine down there.

- Koh-I-Noor soft pastels
- The smooth side (backside) of a coloured Mi-Teintes paper
- A4 (8,27 x 11,69 inches)
- 1 1/2 hour

Ahem... yeah. I was gonna use colour for this, hence the colour of the paper. But then I remembered how much I hate to draw with colour, so I just used black, white and some shades of gray instead, though the paper makes it looks as if I used more colours. I kinda like how it came out, even though it´s a little sloppy. I was going for a more impressionistic style rather than details.
Oh, and please no comments on the ears! I know they look weird. These horses have big ears, but I think I did them *too* big.
Ming looks black here, but is really a chestnut, if you wonder about the light spot on his neck. That´s his real colour! The other horse´s hind leg looks off, I don´t know... her tail might have something to do with it. But it´s probably my fault, hehe!
Btw, I hate to draw grass...
